And just plain white in between blocks to play up any quilting designs.woolyjoolyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15865835998278015815noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7437293684152359629.post-69608080863055455152011-10-18T21:03:47.119-05:002011-10-18T21:03:47.119-05:00very pretty blocks........I would do a dark blue s...very pretty blocks........I would do a dark blue sashing.....lol...we all gave you a different idea.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10580743027184050061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7437293684152359629.post-33303938629813339912011-10-18T16:10:13.165-05:002011-10-18T16:10:13.165-05:00Are you looking for white background to have room ...Are you looking for white background to have room for some pretty quilting? Or maybe white background so that the blue blocks float?? Perhaps set them on point with some white sashing and white setting triangles. Maybe a triple sashing with the a narrow blue stripe in the middle and 9 patches as cornerstones. Depending on how many/size--you can be creative about some blank block areas. Those are beautiful blocks.Lorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02930975280752577392noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7437293684152359629.post-19278754678169753882011-10-18T12:02:03.831-05:002011-10-18T12:02:03.831-05:00A white sashing perhaps with a red block at the in...A white sashing perhaps with a red block at the intersection and then a red border?Mommarockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09551129981851834217noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7437293684152359629.post-55521075613235733762011-10-18T11:28:33.143-05:002011-10-18T11:28:33.143-05:00These are really pretty! Also, have you heard of the Christmas Sew Along? It's a stitchery BOW going on at Sew Happy blog. Done up in blue, with a white background, and alternating with those star blocks would make an amazing Christmas quilt. She's on week 4, so you better hurry over. So that's my vote. Pieced white blocks (instead of solid), or embroidery. Can't wait to see what you decide. :) These were a great win!Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03270104214891613713noreply@blogger.com
