Late Sunday afternoon I got impatient and began to play with the bowtie blocks that I've been working on. I still have half of them to do yet, but I just had to play with some layouts.
The first one is my favorite so far - with the colors grouped together in fluid shapes. This keeps the whole rainbow idea.
Then I tried out a scrappy look. If I went with this option I could start putting them together without waiting to finish the rest. Oh-oh, that could lead to this becoming another UFO.
But it gives me some food for thought.
I like the rainbow idea best....and bow ties are my favorite block.
ReplyDeleteI like the top picture, where they are grouped in alike colors. So pretty! I have lots of scraps if you run out! LOL
ReplyDeleteThey are both so lovely it is difficult to pick. However, I guess I would have to go with the first picture. This is a great idea for putting this block together.
