The applique looks great. I'm thinking these are Heather Mulder Peterson fabrics, because I think I used some of them a few years ago. Maybe wildflowers? I'm making quilts for Christmas too, but my family doesn't take the interest to read my blog.
Looks like a tail of some creature. I love this time of year and the secrets/surprises it holds.
