Since the January color for RSC15 (Rainbow Scrap Challenge) is blue, I decided the first UFO I would tackle is this blue and green Trip Around the World. It has lots of blue in it.
I had 16 blocks done already and the fabrics gathered for more. On New Years Day I made 3 more blocks (along with some other sewing) and sewed the strip sets for 3 more. I'm not sure how big I want this quilt to be, but should have enough fabric gathered for at least 36 blocks, maybe 42.
So for the challenge you work on any project with that particular color, not a specific block or project for the challenge color?
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! It's going to be a very soothing quilt with all those cool colors in it.
ReplyDeleteOh nice choice of blues with green--Do you carry your blocks on from one year to the next using each one for a separate project? Or do you make each one in every color? I am debating which way to go...hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteGreat job. Love all your colours together.
ReplyDeleteTATW blocks seen to be popping up everywhere the last few weeks. Love the colors in yours.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great plan to me!
ReplyDeleteBlue and green are such a nice colour combo!
ReplyDeleteSo nice to have a project ready and waiting for the monthly challenge colour. Aiming for a finish feels so good.
ReplyDeleteGood idea to work on a UFO for the RSC challenge. Use those scraps any way you can...and it's even better when you can work on a UFO.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great start to the new year!
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL fabrics. Going to be a wonderful quilt.
ReplyDeleteI love TATW. Looking forward to working on mine this year again.
