No purchases added this week but there has been quite a bit of sewing in short bursts. I've been plugging away on my Allietare mystery quilt (Bonnie Hunter) and I dug into my scrap bins for blues to begin the RSC16 (http://super scrappy.blogspot.com ), the Rainbow Scrap Challenge hosted by SoScrappy. This first block is called Twinkle Star.
Two new pillowcases are the only actual finishes, but they do count towards stash busting.
In this week: 0 yds
In this year: 0 yds
Out this week: 2 yds
Out this year: 2 yds
Last year I ended the year having used 198 yards of fabric. That number actually shocked me. The stash won by a few yards, but I still look at this number as a positive thing. Maybe I can do even better in 2015.
I'm also linking up to http://quiltingismorefunthanhousework.blogspot.com/ for the Oh Scrap! Post this week.
Your Twinkle Star is gorgeous: the fabrics are perfect. Are you going to make a column quilt like SoScrappy?

ReplyDeleteThe Twinkle Star was one of my favorites from the 2015 Block Lotto. (And, lucky me, I was one of that month's winners.) I have lots of ideas for RSC 2016 but haven't settle on one yet.
ReplyDeleteLove this classic blue and white.
