On Tuesday afternoon I left town with 3 friends for an evening of fun in Sioux Falls. We began with supper at an Italian restaurant, where the food was wonderful. I had a delicious chicken marsala and brought home half for another delicious meal.
The only negative - the young woman sitting to my left who coughed almost continuously through the whole program. A deep rattling cough! I'm going to be so angry if I get sick from whatever she has.
The view from my desk is still very pretty. That golden maple tree is the only one in the yard that is holding onto it's leaves right now. We had a dribble of rain overnight, and sure could use more. Now I see the forecast says we might see snow next week. That is pretty normal for this time of year, so it's OK. We need moisture.
Today is the day I get to take off the heart monitor I've been wearing 24/7 for the past 2 weeks, and tomorrow I go back to Sioux Falls to North Central Heart for more tests. They've ruled out a couple of things but still need to determine a firm reason for my extreme racing heart. And a plan for treatment will hopefully follow soon. I was in the ER a couple of weeks ago with a heart rate of 220+. That was terrifying! Hence the heart monitor, changes in medications, and lots more tests. Good thing my favorite hobbies don't require a lot of strenuous activity.
did the doctors mention A Fib my daughter has it and was in the hospital last year for about 5 days until they got the medication corrected for it - it is more common than thought but needs medicaiton
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful evening with the girls. Fingers crossed you don't catch anything! Hopefully the heart issue is easily managed. It does seem once you reach a certain age, the health issues seem to start piling up.
ReplyDeleteMannheim Steamroller is a favorite of mine. I have numerous CDs and have downloaded them onto my laptop. I hope you don’t get the rattling cough: I’ve had it since last Saturday and it’s hard to shake.
ReplyDeletemy mom was a mannheim fan...
ReplyDeleteYou evening out sounds great. I hope you don't get sick, people should know to stay home! Best of luck with the heart tests.
ReplyDeleteI hope your Christmas present is a straightened out heart rate! And I do hope that you don't catch that cough. How disappointing to sit by a sick person.
ReplyDeleteDid you have a fib, my Dad had it often and my brother does too now he is on a med and watches his apple watch for early warning signs. I hope they figure it out for you. Today I avoided a cash register gal that was coughing and lifting her mask...I did my own check out! I hope you don't get sick, there is lots of "stuff" going around. Yes I heard snow for next week also.
