This isn't the best photo, but you can probably see I have an immobilizer on my left knee.
Long story, but I'm dealing with some type of soft tissue injury. Yesterday afternoon was partially spent in the ER (my second visit this month) as my left knee buckled and wouldn't support me at all. After lots of X-rays it was determined I have no bone fractures. So on Thursday morning I'll be at the Orthopedic Institute clinic to see what comes next, which will most likely include an MRI.
In the meantime I can hobble around with a cane and this immobilizer, as long as I do it slowly. That means I won't be trying the stairs to my sewing room for awhile. GRRR! Wishing I had some binding to work on, but I do have some hand quilting.
I may take a couple days off from blogging too. It's the pits getting old.
sorry - I've been dealing with one ache and pain after another for several years now too - getting older sucks - I hope you won't need surgery
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear of this setback. I hope the knee can be dealt with easily.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, I am so sorry. I get very frustrated with my body and how it behaves. I hope the MRI figures things out for you.
ReplyDeleteHope the MRI goes well, good thing there is no fracture! It is the pits getting old!
ReplyDeleteKnee problems are no fun. Hopefully it's something that will heal quickly and you won't need surgery. Been there, done that this year. Hang in there.
ReplyDeleteOh gee I'm so sorry you are dealing with this now too. I hope for a speedy recovery for you.
ReplyDeleteuh oh pretty sure i didn't see THAT on your quilty to do list...lol
ReplyDeleteI hope they can determine the cause and prescribe effective treatment! But one bright spot is that it's your left knee, so if you can maneuver yourself downstairs you can use the machine with your right leg/foot!
