We got home about midnight last night, so it's a slow morning around here.
Both the Jackrabbit men and women played for the conference championships yesterday. The women lost a close game in the afternoon. It was a disappointing result, but they may still get an at-large spot in the NCAA tournament or could play in the WNIT tournament.
However, the men's team outlasted a tough NDSU team to win the Summit League championship. They had a perfect season in conference play this year - zero losses. The confetti filled the arena floor area while they gave out awards. The NDSU team never came back out of the locker room to get their awards, which included 2 outstanding players who were named to the 5 member All-Tournament Team. That is poor sportsmanship in my opinion! The Jacks fans clapped loudly for them as their names were read, in spite of them not coming out.
We'll be watching any post-season play now on TV. But enough with the basketball talk . . .
I love all the family time and basketball every year, but I'm sure glad to be home again. It was good to sleep in my own bed last night. Now, to catch up with work and with laundry - and trying to get a little sewing in before being gone for a wedding next weekend, and then a week of work hours.
Vacation is over!

Sounds like you had a great time at the games! I wasn't able to watch in the afternoon, but we followed it on ESPN. Last night we watched the game on ESPNU, then ESPN2. It was such a good game and so close until the last second. I'm looking forward to the tournaments.
What was wrong with NDSU...that is really poor sportsmanship...I bet their coach was disgusted with them.
You are a busy gal, a winter wedding...have fun!!
