A new week, and then a new month . . . time to think about goals for April. Or at least goals for the first week of April.
I need to clear up some work space before starting anything new, and I really really want to start something new. So that means finishing up a couple of WIPs first. If only I had stayed focused over the weekend . . .
The side borders are on the Quilt of Valor, and next will come the top and bottom borders with the corner blocks.
The Farm Girl Vintage blocks were sewn into rows 2 weeks ago. But only two rows are actually sewn together so far. I keep moving them from one spot to another in my sewing room to get them out of the way. Hmmm . . . if the top was done then I could hang it in the closet, out of the way.
The new color for RSC is pink. My pink scrap bin is not nearly as full as some colors, and I've already sorted out some strings and will probably begin the RSC sewing with more string blocks for the String Stars project.
IF I manage to finish those first 2 short tasks this week, then I will allow myself to begin cutting the pieces for the next UFO project.

Setting a goal to finish up those two rows of Farm Girl Vintage blocks sounds like a great way to clear some mental space for April. It is always so tempting to start something new when the scrap bin is full of pretty pink strings just waiting to be sewn. Getting those borders on the Quilt of Valor will surely feel like a big weight off your shoulders. How is Monday treating you so far?
I just shared a new blog post: www.melodyjacob.com
Your QOV looks great and would be the quickest finish, no? You can do it 😃
This qal at Alycia's is really a lovely pattern. I have so many stars unused from an unfinished mystery of Alycias a couple years ago. This design would be perfect. It makes a beautiful QOV.
Looks as though you have your projects nicely lined up. I'd do the QOV border first, then some FGV. While you do FGB you can ponder the pink.
the newest QAL of Alycia is a beauty of a quilt--nice work.
Just think about the little engine that could-you can do it-finish the Farm Girl top that is!
Sara, you did a wonderful job on the QOV. From what I can tell you used a constant blue but various scraps for the red. It really worked well. I'll be making this quilt sometime in the future although no clue when. My pink scraps are underwhelming also. Although this year I haven't been doing the RSC. I could always go back and do it but I doubt I will. Have a quilty week!
Your QOV quilt is stunning, Sara! I'm interested to see what will become of the cute pink scraps.
