There are always several UFOs in my sewing room. Things I started and then set aside for any number of reasons, or for no reason other than I can't resist a squirrel. I'm trying each month as I finish one UFO, to choose the next one to work on.
Shadow Stars is one of those abandoned UFO projects. It's a Quilt of Valor begun about this time last year, but I only got 3 blocks made at the time. The pieces were even all cut for the remaining blocks. Since RED is the Rainbow Scrap Challenge color for March, I decided to choose this UFO to be next in line as it has lots of red.
Today is Day 2 of the Summit League basketball tournament. It's my husband's idea of an ideal vacation. Sigh!! It has always been fun to spend 5 days at the tournament because it has been a reunion of extended family. Due to a variety of circumstances this year I think we're the only ones attending, although we'll try to have some grandkids come to games with us.
Plus I'm finally getting over the cold I caught over last weekend, so it's probably OK that we're not hanging out with lots of family members.

The fact that you have more blocks cut out will make it more enjoyable, plus you can make more progress!
I think I should copy and paste your first paragraph into a blog post for me! I admire your tenacity in tackling your UFOs. I think at this point in time I'm just making more of them!
That is a good project. I am glad you are feeling better!
The blocks look lovely! I have the same issue - too many projects started, but not completed.
Those blocks will make a pretty QOV. Will you sash them or set them side by side? Glad to know you are getting better.
Happy to hear you are finally getting over your cold. I'm getting over mine too but the energy level is not very high yet. This is a great project to tackle during the red month. Enjoy! ;^)
Pretty blocks, Sara. Since the fabric is already cut, it will go faster to finish each block. Glad you are feeling better. Enjoy the basketball tournament and have a great weekend!
A squirrel got into my sewing room & next thing I knew I was making scrappy blocks & for what! I'm trying to get 2 quilts finished for my little niece ,& nephew 🤣 pretty blocks! Looking forward to seeing you where you go with those
It's a good thing to finish up these blocks--they are beautiful!
With all the cutting done, you get to just do all the fun sewing part. Good luck on getting that UFO closer to finished. Enjoy the tournament.
