Sharing an artist's work

Because I have nothing of my own to share yet today, I thought I would share something really beautiful from last weekend's guild meeting.  This quilt was enormous, well over 100" wide. The blocks were antique, and all done by hand with cross stich.

The ladies at the local "senior center" hand quilted this beauty and one brought it to guild so everyone could see it. Isn't it gorgeous?  Using the solid colors gave the quilt a lovely mix of antique and modern.  I'm sure the owner will be thrilled.

What a great way to "update" those embroidered blocks. Very colorful.
