I'm ready for Saturday Sampler tomorrow . . . with all of the large applique all stitched down with a grey thread and blanket stitch.
There are several whole Dresden Plate blocks, plus a half and a couple of quarter plate blocks. This was much more time consuming this month compared to previous months. But it's good to have them done in time for Saturday Sampler.
And there are several large snowflakes also stitched down. I'm glad I went with the blanket stitch on these even though all the turns and twists made it slow going.
Farm Girl Vintage should be done in the next day or so. I'm currently hand stitching and close to turning the corner for the last side of the binding. This will be a good one to check off the UFO list as it's big - and has been languishing for several years.
I'm still trying to have some discipline, and not begin anything new until more on-going projects are done. TRYING is the key word of course. In my cleaning/reorganizing efforts I came across another "nearly" done project. It's a small table topper made with 1" strips. All it needed was a back, batting, and quilting. Stay tuned . . . it's sandwiched now, so maybe I'll get this one done this month too.

Doesn't it feel great to finish old projects?!!! Good job!
Finishing projects that have been languishing is such a task and you are knocking it out of the park! I look forward to seeing that table topper! It's a beauty!
Fortitude, Sara, fortitude! (That might be a good name for a quilt...)
Fortitude, Sara, fortitude!
Those blocks for Saturday Sampler are so pretty! Love the colors. I'm with you on trying to finish up some projects that have been languishing. Cheering you on from across the miles!
I seem to have been forcing myself to 'use what I have' for years.....I try not to visit quilt candy stores unless I need one or two specific pieces to finish something. It isn't fun! There are so many lovely fabric lines out there....
Way to go! Your blanket stitches are just perfect!
I love the look of the topper from the back - and very curious to see if from the front
A number of beautiful projects, Sara! I'm interested in seeing the Farm Girl big reveal. We sold kits for that quilt at the quilt shop for several years. It was very popular.
WhooHoo! You're on FIRE, woman! Enjoy the stitching this weekend. ;^)
You are inspiring me, I found a little basket full of homespun squares and some four patches. I am going to sit them beside my sewing machine and do a few each day and see where it goes!
It is hard not to start those new projects till you clear out a few older ones. You are doing great at moving many projects along.
The Saturday Sampler looks so pretty!
good luck with the TRY....I bet you can finish a few more before a new start.... maybe!!
