There was absolutely no sewing happening yesterday, but I did a LOT of spring cleaning of a closet. And I spent 2 hours in the afternoon shredding more old paperwork.
There is a large box of extra bedding from the top shelf of the master bedroom closet. There is a big shopping bag of shoes and belts, another smaller bag of clothing. And a small bag full of ugly costume jewelry and craft supplies, such as sea glass, ribbon, and marbles. This whole stack will be going to donation.
There are a few more items headed to my daughter's summer rummage sale. And - in the trash went some really ratty old shoes, some lingerie no longer wanted, and a bunch of craft supplies of no use. That whole shelf section of the closet is now neat and clean, and even has some empty spots.
Decluttering in my house is helping to declutter my mind as well.

You did really well with the decluttering. I was hoping to work on the attic more this week, but the head cold put an end to those plans. It does feel good to lighten the load in the house.
Way to go! I cleaned out my kitchen junk drawer yesterday! A small victory but a victory none the less!
Awesome work on the decluttering, Sara. You are my inspiration today. Thank you for that. ;^)
You are doing an amazing job on decluttering!
You are doing great on decluttering! I'm trying my best too. The 'problem' is my DH can't throw anything, everything can be useful, even if it doesn't! I throw stuff little by little so he doesn't notice! lol
Wow! What an awesome collection of items on the way out your door, Sara!
Kudos on your decluttering efforts, Sara! I'm in the middle of a big closet purge this week. There's still MORE to go!
