The mini banner is a flimsy, but it requires a tiny bit of embroidery before quilting it.
Those honey bees need antenna. The black embroidery floss was included in the kit, and it shouldn't take too long to stitch them.
What is the next new project?
This is the next mini quilt in the Year in Spools series. It arrived in mail on Tuesday afternoon, and it has taken all my resistance to NOT open it up and get started right away. It's so cute!!
I did do some additional cutting for WIPs instead of diving into something new. The pieces for the blue Catnip block is nearly all cut. I might replace that kind of dusty blue fabric with something brighter however.
We had wind howling all night Tuesday, and well into the day yesterday. What we didn't get with the wind was snow. It all stayed well north of us. Notice that flag flapping in 40+ mph winds as the sun was coming up yesterday. Also notice the morning sun making those bare trees across the street look like they were on fire.
We might get some snow today but I'm really hoping it doesn't amount to much because we plan to go to the region girls wrestling tournament to watch granddaughter Sophia tonight. Guess we'll see what the day brings.

Love the bee banner - such a cute design! And the spool mini quilt, too. Have fun stitching it up!
We used to have winds like that when we lived in Colorado. They could be really annoying!
You will have the St. Patty's one done in a jiff!
Glad the major snow missed you! the newest spool block is too cute!
