I'm setting a few goals - some are on-going WIPs, some are UFOs that need more progress, and there WILL be some new things to work on of course.
WIPs = Works in Progress
- Jackrabbit Stars - get to flimsy stage (halfway now)
- BH Mystery Lupines & Laughter - get to flimsy stage (add pieced outer border)
- Saturday Sampler - new monthly blocks
- make blocks for Rainbow Scrap Challenge in new color - GREEN
- finish hand stitching on Sashiko piece
- quilt and bind at least 1 doll quilt (5 tops in the pile)
UFOs = Unfinished Objects
- bind Zipper quilt IF back from quilter
- find backing for Triple Triangle & take to quilter
- take Contessa (brown) to quilter
- finish blocks for QOV Shadow Star (seriously neglected)
- March mini quilt (Year of Spools)
- make 5-minute table runners from kits found in drawer (photo above)
- Spring mini vertical banner (kit in drawer)
- March door hanger kit - maybe!!!
Going through a drawer, looking at kits I've purchased in the past and neglected to make - that's a dangerous activity. There were several projects that really caught my attention, but I think it would be good to start small this month and just see how much I accomplish.
I'm tracking fabric IN and OUT again this year and really want to be more conscious of what I purchase. I'm not getting any younger and the stash is huge. LOL My spreadsheet says I've purchased more than I've used (+9.25 yards), but part of those purchases were backing for quilts. And I have a couple of things close to finishing so that will help my numbers.
IN = 19.75 ydsOUT = 10.5 yds

I’m with you on not buying anymore fabric unless I need something to complete a quilt. I used to buy kits all the time but am down to four that I need to cut up and sew. I really enjoy watching your progress on your projects.
Can't wait to see your progress this month. I'd like to be a fly on your wall and just gaze around at your UFO/WIPs/Pigs and cheer you on;)
You've got several quilts that are ready for the quilter... I hope she/he can get them done for you soon. I haven't figured out my ins and outs for the month but I was really good on the ins so I'm guessing I'll definitely have more out than in... Keep on working. Those quick table runner kits look fun.
You've got some ambitious goals for the month. Good luck! I've been doing better at balancing the fabric out with the fabric in. It's time to use up my "retirement stash". Happy stitching.
I forgot I have some big flying geese units that I found last month when cleaning out a box - I think I have enough for a table runner.
Oh my I smiled at the In and Out numbers! You go gal!!
I have the same average in my in/out, only I've bought 30+ yards! LOL Everything looks good.
I have two kits that are shouting at me now and I hope to listen to them in another month! lol Nice parade of projects you've highlighted!
I'm working on some UFOs too, Sara. I love how your Lupine blocks are coming along and I really love the zipper quilt! Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings. Have a great week.
I started keeping track of fabric in/out about 5 years ago and 2025 was the first year I finally ended with using a good amount (55yds) more than I bought. I love the accountability and motivation of it. I'm not off to a good start this year but w/all the clearance sales in Jan, that's pretty normal. Just means I need to sew faster!
I'll be watching for the table runners. Love the fabrics in the kits.
