A little of this and a little of that

Yesterday was a good day to sew, as I didn't have any other things going on, and my husband wasn't home either.  So it was a good quiet day to just hang out in my happy place.

I began by finishing the last 2 points for the star quilt.  The grey background parts have been cut as well.  This project is now set aside to work on over the weekend.

One third of the "arrow" units are now complete for Saturday Sampler.  Finishing the remaining 10 and assembling the whole row will be my priority for today.  I need to have them done by next weekend to bring to the Saturday Sampler session.  It never pays to leave things until the last minute, right?

There was a little bit of Rainbow Scrap Challenge sewing too, but I'll save that until tomorrow's weekly RSC post.

Some cutting happened yesterday too.  The binding strips for the batik Hunter's Star quilt were definitely something I wanted to get done yesterday.  That means I'll have some handwork for the evenings for a few days again.

And I pulled fabrics out of the scrap bins to use in block #11 of Circle of Friends.  The pieces are cut and organized for the paper piecing of this BOM.  I probably won't get to sewing the block until the weekend.  But it's nice to have it ready to go.

Your star is just gorgeous! I hope SIL appreciates all the effort, that's going to be one heirloom quilt. Looks like you have some fun stuff for the weekend. Happy stitching.
