Season of giving

It feels good to be the giver, but it's also fun to be the receiver.

Aren't these socks gorgeous?  Soft greys and a peachy pink - I absolutely love them.  Blogging friend Nancy at https://wyomingbreezes.blogspot.com/ is the person I credit with helping me get a Quilt of Valor group started here.  She has made over 250 Quilts of Valor over the years, and she also does a LOT of knitting.  She chooses the prettiest yarn for socks, and she made a pair just for me!!  I'm a lucky gal.  I'm wearing them today, and they are soft and comfy.   Thank you Nancy!!!

I did get to be a giver this week too.  At the December meeting of the local DAR chapter yesterday, we brought 2 things to be donated in the community.  Cookies were collected and taken to the local fire department.  Hats, mittens, scarves, socks - all collected and will be taken to Salvation Army before Christmas.

I hope the socks are a good fit: please let me know if they aren’t. I hope you enjoy them.

Those socks are very pretty and look really warm. Definitely a great gift to deal with the seemingly sudden cold spell.
