Normally I write my Monday morning post on Sunday evening, and set it to post automatically. But for some reason it never crossed my mind yesterday. So here I am, with coffee in hand, sitting at my desk.
There are 30 Flying Geese blocks in the final 2 rows in this year's Saturday Sampler project. The geese themselves are all now sewn, and my task this morning is getting the actual rows put together. Then I can lay it out for quilt top assembly. That should not take too long as it's already sewn into rows.
A second quilt top that hopefully can be finished this week is this Quilt of Valor. It's NOT sewn into rows already like the Saturday Sampler, but is pinned into rows. Actually 3 of the 12 rows are sewn, so I guess that's a good start.
My reward for progress on the 2 quilt tops - the September mini quilt. Sew Juicy is supposed to be 3 "spool" shaped apples in a basket. Hmmm - that checkerboard spool top in the picture doesn't look quite right to me so there could be some changes as I get this one made.

I'm a Sunday evening writer also. Unfortunately it seems to take me until 11 pm every Sunday! The one time I tried to set something to post I did it wrong! So, mine goes up when I'm done. Your RWB rail fence is speaking to me. I bet I could use my scraps (and some fat quarters and make one like that... is reproducing a look a form of flattery? I think so! It'll be fun to see how you change up the basket and apples? spools? Have a fun week.
That was me on Friday, forgetting to write a post the night before! Wishing you lots of sewing luck and time this week:) Another rainy day here is a good day to quilt, if it isn't lightening I will turn on the longarm.
I'm a Sunday writer too but I totally forgot this week. You're making great progress on your projects! :)
ah yes, shabby fabrics, they have some very nice and very pricey monthly kits. I have indulged and they are very well put together. I'm anxious for the fall releases.
The apple spools in a basket are so cute! But, yes, something isn't quite right with that one. I wonder if the top section is meant to hang over the basket handle (shifting it one square to the left). Looking forward to seeing what you do with that!
