Olivia's apron

It's done! I just sewed on the buttons and tried out the 2 mini spatulas in the pocket.  This is going to be wrapped up for Christmas along with some "play" kitchen items to add to her little play kitchen. Or she can wear it when she helps mom in the real kitchen. I'm kind of liking the paisley.

 

Mommy's little helper

This little doll is Keira Jo and she is only 2 but she loves to help her mommy (my niece Melanie) in the kitchen.  So I made her a couple of aprons.  Melanie told me she keeps changing back and forth between the red one covered in sheep and the yellow one with chickens and other farm critters.

Keira's cousin Sophia (my oldest granddaughter) turns 3 next week and she is getting an apron too. This is FUN sewing and as close to garments as I'm likely to get right now.

More aprons for little girls

The 2nd little apron for 2 year old Keira is all finished and both of them are in the mail.  This one has a pale blue farm print with yellow trim and yellow flower buttons. My niece has promised to take a picture of her in the apron and I can't wait to see her.

The pattern is the same as the red sheep apron and the pink kitties apron for one of my granddaughters, Sophie. She will get hers for her birthday in March.

The pattern is identical - except for the elastic - to the adult sized pattern that I've used often. And the cool thing about the kid pattern is the 3 different sizes it has plus the elastic in the neck band.

Aprons make great gifts

This coffee themed apron is a gift I'm making for a friend of my daughter.  This girlfriend was so good to my daughter when she was on bed rest with the twins and then after they were born too.  So this little gift is a thank you.
