I had forgotten all about this practice block that I had made, until seeing a similar block done with strings at a quilting friend's house recently. Maybe I could pick 3 more bright background colors, make a set of 4 and use it for a pillow top or a table topper or wall hanging. HMMMM . . . it has some possibilities.
What else can be done with practice blocks? I have several different sizes of them laying in my sewing room.

That's easy you send it to me!!!!!! I have a big bag of salvages that's a cute idea I might have to try it.
Amazing what can be created with salvages! I don't have the patience for the tiny strings.
This doesn't really fit here, but I read that you should make all of your practice blocks out of a selection of fabrics that will eventually be put together into a quilt. That is a great plan, I haven't put that into reality yet.
