Elephants in the room

Two blue elephants are now hanging out with the green ones, lavender ones, and yellow ones.  I'm making these from 30s fabrics from my stash and have lots of fun colors to choose from.  Brown and pink may be the next ones. That would give me 12 blocks.

I'm not exactly sure yet what I'm going to do with these elephants. My younger daughter really wanted an elephant quilt after I made one for her sister a couple years back.  So maybe that is the ultimate goal. Or they would make a really cute baby quilt.  My goal is to make enough to actually do something with them.  So depending on what I do I'll probably need more than 12 elephants.

This block pattern is one I found online several years ago at the Milk and Honey Quilts blog. I've linked to her pattern because it is so well written.

They would indeed make a darling baby quilt, especially in 30s fabric.
