A new ruler

Even after quilting for 30+ years, I still feel like I learn new things quite often. And of course there are always new tools and gadgets to try out. I'm not usually a big fan of specialty rulers, but this one I'll use again.

The Tucker Trimmer is a ruler that is perfect for squaring up hour glass (quarter-square triangles) blocks or half-square triangles. There is a whole circle in one corner and a half circle in the opposite corner.  If you are squaring up to a whole inch measurement, then use the whole circle side.  If you are squaring up to a half inch, then use the half circle side. And the bonus is that there are 2 diagonal lines to use to line up the seams for those hour glass blocks.  Love it!!

It does look like a handy ruler - easy to read and has more than one use. Perfect
