Finished (or not) Friday

There are 2 finishes this week to report.  Yay!!

This is Salt Water Taffy.  It's a Villa Rosa pattern and mine finished at 52" x 65", so a generous crib size quilt.  I used most of a jelly roll to frame the charm squares, and used most of the remaining jelly roll strips for the scrappy binding.  It's ready to gift or donate.

And voila!!  Kisses From Heaven is done too.  I'm really thrilled to have this Joann Hoffman kit all finished finally.  Lots of applique on a round background - it was very intimidating.  The kit sat in my sewing room for several years.  But it was worth the wait - and the work.

Oops!  I need to update my flimsy inventory, because I found an additional flimsy hanging in the closet. It required a search through my blog for details.  The pattern name was Shooting Stars, and it was part of a Sew Sampler Box from Fat Quarter Shop.  Sometime in 2024 this became a flimsy.  This is now #22 hanging in the closet.

And #23 has just been added - the Buckeye Butterflies that I've been working on this week.  I'll share a photo of that one on Saturday for RSC.  And #24 (Honey Bees) is getting closer to that flimsy stage.

I can see how the round snowmen mat would be a ton of work. It is MOST charming and Salt Water Taffy is lovely in all those pretty colors. Great quilt anyone would love.

Salt Water Taffy is a great name for that quilt. I sure could relate to the resemblance! Kisses from Heaven is a wonderful finish. Good on you to keep at it even though parts of the process were intimidating!

Saltwater Taffy really describes the colors in the quilt. Congrats on a very pretty finish. The snowmen turned out really cute. That should be fun to display at Christmas. Congrats on all the progress on the RSC blocks this week.

I love the colors for your Salt Water Taffy, and that's such a perfect name. I've been hoping I would get to see your Kisses from Heaven. I'm a snowflake lover, so that's a real treat to me. You did an amazing job on it! Fun to find flimsies; I just found a couple I'd long forgotten!

Love your colors in Salt Water Taffy. It's so nicely done. I think I might have a pattern that looks similar but a bit smaller. I may have to "borrow" your colors and make it one of these days. Hum, 22 flimsies waiting to be quilted. Do you quilt them in order?
