Quilts need to be loved

Granddaughter Sophia is 3 1/2 now and the baby quilt I made for her has been nearly loved to pieces already. It is in her bed every night and has been washed a lot. And that is exactly what I like to hear. But it is also getting too short to cover her up completely. So it is time for a new quilt.

While here visiting this weekend I pulled out a couple of quilts and asked which one she like better. Pink is her favorite color and her face just lit up when she saw this one. It went home with her on Sunday afternoon.

This was a summer mystery quilt from a couple of years ago, and I'm so glad it is going to be loved and used.

Heart warming story, Nice to have a finished quilt on hand. I only have two.

I love to see the things I make (quilt, sew, knit, twine) enjoyed and USED.

Sophie's new quilt is wonderful and her eyes are still sparkling with excitement over receiving it.

Sophia won't let us call it a blanket, she corrects me and tells me "it's a quilt mom!"
