First finish of 2016 & Goals

I did manage to finish 2 of the 4 pillowcases yesterday that I cut out. I have no idea when I purchased that geometric fabric or for what. So it was time to get it out of my stash. The purple cuffs were left over backing from a recent quilt.

The next 2 are ready to go. The tuxedo cat fabric was purchased because it made me think of my Sammy. So I may need to keep that one for myself.

I've been thinking about goals for the year - quilting, life style, work.  I started the year of 2015 with a goal to declutter, and that one needs to go back onto the top of this year's goal list. It is a constant struggle as I inherited some strong pack rat genes.

As for quilting goals, well that includes keeping up with new projects, finishing up some old projects, and learning something new. That kind of covers all of the bases.

I'm going to keep doing Saturday Sampler and the Sew Vintage group at my local quilt shop. I'm already excited about starting the RSC16 (Rainbow Scrap Challenge) hosted by SoScrappy. Beyond that . . . I hope to find some other fun new projects along the way.

Pack rat genes run strong in my family, too. I struggle with them all the time.

Love the pillowcases - bold and very striking.

When I was at your quilt shop the other day, both ladies working knew you. We'd been talking about the bus trip and the one had went on it. We were talking about Fabric City and I told them I'd taken an early lunch to see you. Small world, but I did find some fun fabrics to take home with me when I stopped by.
