The 7th block for Carol Doak's Circle of Friends is finished. I had the parts all cut for this paper pieced block, and then realized that my purple was too dark and had no contrast with the black. But there was a perfect size chunk of this lighter purple in the scrap bin and it worked out much better. This was a fun block to make.
Notice a change in background? There wasn't enough of the one on the left to do all 12 blocks, but this dot has the same colors in it so I'll have 6 blocks with each background. I think if I alternate them in the quilt top it will look fine.

To say that this block was fun, you must be a sewing fairy. All I can see is "too complicate", "too many tiny points", "nope, not for me" but it is a gorgeous block. You did it to perfection. Bravo. The 2 background will play nicely together. Enjoy! ;^)
The backgrounds will look great together, will you do a sashing between blocks?
interesting complicating looking block
very well done...lots of her patterns are very intricate..
Pretty blocks. With paper piecing I don't think they are complicated. The two background fabrics go nicely together.
Look at all those points...I would have worn out a seam ripper:)
It's going to be a very bright and bold quilt. The two back grounds work well together. You do really well at matching up all those pieces, very crisp points.
