RBD blocks

Update on the granddaughter - she went home from the hospital yesterday finally.  She spent 9 days in the hospital after her appendix ruptured last week.  Those infections are difficult to control, but we hope she's firmly on the road to recovery.

The 9th block in the 2025 Riley Blake challenge was posted on Tuesday, and I managed to get it sewn on Wednesday morning.

The wind was howling all day yesterday, so I hid out in my sewing room from 9 am to 2 pm.  Much progress was made in getting another flimsy assembled, this time from some Rainbow Scrap Challenge blocks.   But I finally HAD to venture out to pick up a prescription and get groceries.  At least there was no snow coming with that wind.  Just dirt blowing.

So glad to hear the granddaughter is home from the hospital and working on recovering. Sounds like you made the most of the high winds and made good progress in the sewing room. It's calm and cold here this morning, a welcome respite from the high winds and elevated fire danger.

nine days is a long stay in the hospital now with the way they kick you out before a day is up usually. Glad your granddaughter will be ok now.

What a scary time for all of you. Glad she's doing okay! The raccoon is fun to see in the block. (Not so much fun if it's in your garage or, worse, attic.) Snow last evening, sunshine today and 40's.

Wow nine days, poor kid, I am glad to hear she went home. We had snow back home yesterday, but hear it melted already. I bet you got a lot done in the sewing room.

Happy to hear the granddaughter is on the mend. My son went through that pain too when he was a teenager. What a fright he gave us. Enjoy! ;^)
