I love a Block of the Month - or week - and find them difficult to resist. I've been doing the Saturday Sampler for a couple of decades through the local quilt shop. And we all know the Internet is full of sew-alongs and BOMs. So of course you know I'm doing more than one BOM or sew-along online.
Yesterday I showed the monthly blocks I'm making for Tranquility. Today - I'm showing the 1 August block I made for Carol Doak's paper pieced BOM called Circle of Friends. These are 12" finished and I'm quite blown away by the dramatic fabrics I've seen online in the Facebook group. That is actually why I'm using the fabrics I am. That black print is so fun!
This was block #1 from July. I'm really loving these because I'm using my favorite colors - anything bright and happy! There will only be the 1 block each month for a year.
