It's fun to be a tourist for a couple of days, even though the location is somewhere we've been dozens and dozens of times over the years.
I don't get tired of visiting Mount Rushmore.
We also drove down to Crazy Horse, as we haven't been back to see the progress in several years. My husband decided on the drive yesterday morning that he wanted to do a helicopter tour. So we visited both of these monuments the traditional way. And then got to see them both from the air. That was definitely a fun adventure.

Crazy Horse is progressing nicely! Fun to see the aerial photo.
Our South Dakota vacation years ago is still one of our favorites! So glad we took the time to visit during our “Midwest” years!
Our western SD trip was back in 1998. Late May, so we avoided the summer crowds at Mt. Rushmore. It would be interesting to see the progress on Crazy Horse!
Gotta love Mt. Rushmore, been there several times over the years and it doesn't get old. Could you actually see the difference on Crazy Horse?
