Tranquility clue 3

The third month's clue in the Tranquility mystery quilt along has been posted.

We finally cut into the last color.  For me, that is the lighter blue/teal.  My pieces are all cut, and I've made all of those HSTs (gold).  I still need to press those HSTs however and make the rest of the flying geese.  This block is awesome, and there will be only 8 of them.

For clue #1 we made 4 of these blocks.  That print was in my stash - purchased on sale with no plan for how to use it.  Until I saw this mystery online at Bear Creek Quilting.

Clue #2 was 12 of these - almost identical to the first month except changing the color in one corner.  The clues are emailed to us at the beginning of each month.  So I have most of the month remaining to finish the current clue.

In between my rescheduled eye appointment and a hair cut appointment yesterday I did a bunch of cutting again since the scraps were handy.  Pieces for 2 Night Vision blocks for RSC are ready to stitch, in between Tranquility blocks.

And more parts were cut for Quilts of Valor blocks - both Split Back Star and Facets.  This is the second Facets block I will have made.  I really like the simple visual impact of the Facets blocks.

The new tranquility block looks easy to do, your colors really show off the block nicely.

How fortuitous that the fabric purchase works with this new QAL. Is "night vision" in quilting a reference to your own night vision? (I think you said you're anticipating cataract surgery.)

You picked some beautiful fabrics for the Tranquility mystery. Enjoy all the stitching time this week.
