A finish and more fabric

The Easter bench pillow project went with me to the basketball tournament.  It gave me time to finish the hand stitching in the motel room during rare downtime.

It turned out pretty cute.  These are 38" long, and I have made a few seasonal pillow covers that I can change for those seasons.  There is Halloween, Valentine's Day, and 2 for Christmas, plus one that is quilting themed.   I actually have 2 of the pillow forms to use inside the covers.

I mentioned yesterday that I won some fat quarters.  There are 8 gorgeous batiks from the Island Batik line called Forest Flora.  Connie, at Freemotion By The River  was one of the designers featured in Island Batik's Runner Up blog hop last month.  I was the VERY lucky winner from her blog post during the hop.  There were so many wonderful table runner ideas shared by the designers, using several different batik lines.

Next to the batiks is a small kit for a paper pieced Easter table runner that I had ordered from Shabby Fabrics.  It all arrived while we were gone, so I'm glad I had the mail held until we returned.  Otherwise the mailbox would have been overflowing.

I can't wait to make that table runner, and might just begin this week so that it's done before Easter.  But I don't have a plan yet for those gorgeous batiks.  They have an autumn vibe, so I'll be the lookout for a project that will do them justice.

Your Easter pillow is really cute. Congrats on getting that finished up. The Batiks are very pretty, it's hard to beat those saturated colors. Happy stitching this weekk.
