My design wall has a herd of elephants. As is, this quilt is 58 x 70. But I keep thinking it needs an outer border. What do you think? Border or no border?

If this were my project, I'd add an outside border but I have no idea what color or type. Happy stitching!
I think one more border would look good but it is your quilt - you do what you feel is right.
I'm in the it depends camp on the border. I like a frame around my quilts, but it would have to be the right fabric for this one. It's really fun as it is.
If it is a donation one I'd leave as is. If it is yours to keep do you have fabric picked out, or at least a color you might want as a border? Perhaps interview a few fabrics and see what you think.
I think an outside border would be good. Maybe a light-background with multicolor polka dots, to pick up on the colorful stripes in the sashing and the polka dot elephants.
