Last finish of February - la Caribe

La Caribe is DONE!!  This is a quilt that was begun in a guild sponsored class last fall with Patti Heinz from Pierre leading us.  The pattern is Rapid Fire Hunters Star by Deb Tucker. This is just one variation from the book we used.  Mine is made from a Kaffe Fassett fat quarter bundle.  It was all pinks and oranges, but I just used the pinks and have those orange tone fat quarters to use in something else.

The quilting shows up best in the sea urchin print border. It is very geometric and plays nicely with the Hunters Star blocks.

What a lovely design with just a pop of stars!

What is the name of the quilting pattern? I think that pattern would look great on a Celtic Knot quilt I just finished!

It's called La Caribe. Deb Tucker's book Hidden Treasures has this and many other layouts for Hunters Star variations.
