Generous quilters

Last week Wednesday I met up with a Minnesota Quilts of Valor member who I've been in contact with, and she brought 10 quilt tops to share with our group.  She offered up to 30!!!

What a generous gift!!  She said their group just sews and sews and sews, so they had many more tops than they could use soon.  They are "well funded" by local Legion groups, so buying fabric for Quilts of Valor wasn't a problem.   The group wanted to share the wealth.

I didn't have a chance to unpack all 10 yet, but it appears that each one also has a bag with binding - some already sewn and pressed, and some just strips ready to go.  And there are labels with the name of the maker on them.

Another gal from the Huron QOV group also met up with us and picked up quilt tops too.  I just can't get over the generosity!!  Once I'm on the mend our group will determine which to quilt first, and get busy using these gifts for deserving veterans.
