A Quilt of Valor presentation

Yesterday I was honored to be part of a long delayed presentation of a Quilt of Valor.  This gentleman is a Korean War veteran, who is actually a quilter himself.  Since retirement years ago, he makes denim quilts for folks at the VA hospital.

Now that Covid is calming down in our area, and the vaccinations are being given, we felt it was time to see if any of our nominees were comfortable with receiving their quilts.  The event was just private - with Mr. P and his lovely wife, plus Brenda and I in the classroom at Brenda's shop.

On a side note - I hope I'm even half as active in my 90s!!  This couple was such a pleasure to meet.

Fantastic! Love the use of the sampler blocks and the outset panel. Working with QOV groups, I’ve run into a few men who enjoy quilting.

How fun! Glad to see that at least some presentations can go on again.
